Faster payments. Better hospitality. A better experience.
The challenge

The last minutes of every meal are lost to paying

Every evening, the same pattern, in restaurants across the Netherlands.

  1. 1 minThe guest looks around, trying to catch a server's eye
  2. 2 minThe server breaks away from another table to bring the bill
  3. 3 minDiscussion at the table: who pays what, and with which card?
  4. 4 minThe server fetches the terminal, comes back, everyone pays separately
  5. 3 minThe receipt is printed, goodbyes are said, the table sits empty
13 min
per table, just on paying
= 2 to 3 fewer covers per evening

The Netherlands has around 44,000 hospitality venues. Every one of them knows this moment. Every one of them can do something about it.

More tips

Not because guests suddenly become more generous, but because tipping no longer takes any effort.

+200%
increase in tips in practice

Based on our own figures from restaurants using Pay at the Table.

Default options

Tip buttons for 5%, 10% and 15% are shown right away. Tipping feels like the default.

No mental maths

Guests don't have to work out what 10% of €47.50 is. That takes the effort away.

No social pressure

Nobody is watching when guests choose a tip on their own phone. That feels freer.

Good timing

The question comes right after the meal, not at the end when people already want to leave.

A pure win for your staff. And in a market with staff shortages, a reason for them to stay.

Simple for guests

Open. Split. Tip. Pay. Done.

No app needed. Guests simply open their bill, choose what they want to pay, and pay with their favourite method.

Hardware

Three options. One that fits your venue.

From self-service to premium table service. Choose what suits your venue, and change it whenever you like.

Self-service

NFC sticker

A flat sticker of about 5 × 5 cm, fixed to every table, in white or black. Guests tap their phone on it as soon as they've finished eating.

  • Fastest rollout: live within 1 week
  • Available straight from stock
  • High adoption among younger guests
Best for: café-restaurants, brasseries, lunchrooms and tourist venues with high turnover.
Flexible

NFC block

A small standing block on the table, not glued down. Move it between tables, out to the terrace or to an event. More visible than a sticker, so guests pick it up faster.

  • Moves with your table layout
  • Goes out to the terrace or events
  • Stands out to new guests
Best for: venues with changing layouts, indoor and outdoor terraces, sports bars and event venues.
Premium service

NFC card

A bank-card-sized card in your branding, with the table number on it. Staff bring it with the bill, as a modern alternative to the card terminal at the table.

  • Fully in your branding
  • Keeps the personal goodbye
  • Recognisable to every guest
Best for: fine dining, hotel restaurants, boutique venues and premium concepts where service is part of the experience.
Integration

Built into the way your restaurant already works

Klearly connects Pay at the Table directly to your existing POS and payment flow.

As soon as a guest pays, it's recorded automatically in the restaurant's system — so your team always knows what's been paid and what's still open.

Works with every POS system integrated with Klearly. One partner for everything: one contract, one support line.

At launch you get table cards and a short briefing for your team, so guests use Pay at the Table from day one.

Less payment admin. More time for your guests.

0% transaction fees for your restaurant

With Pay at the Table, your restaurant pays nothing per transaction. Guests pay a small service fee at checkout, for the convenience of paying right from the table.

There's a clear trend in the payments industry: more and more restaurants are passing payment costs on to guests through a surcharge. Pay at the Table is already hugely popular in the UK, France and Dubai, and extensive testing shows that guests don't mind paying a small service fee for the convenience.
